GDPR/Privacy Policy
The General Data Protection Regulation( GDPR) is concerned with personal information that I collect, store and share. Please read this document.
Personal information I collect : Name, Address, Telephone number, Email address, GP's name and contact number/ Medical conditions and medication relevant to counselling.
How I store your Personal Information
Paper: Brief session notes, contact sheet, counselling agreement
Email/SMS/Whatsapp/Skype: Your email address and correspondence will be stored in my email account by nature of you contacting me. Your telephone number may be stored in my Email, SMS, Whatsapp or Skype app should we exchange messages this way.
Website: none of your personal information is stored on my website, other than to momentarily collect and send to my Btinternet account for the purposes of our initial contact.

Electronic: Contact name and telephone, Email/SMS/Whatsapp/Skype
How I may share your your personal information
Consultation
I seek a monthly consultation with another qualified therapist for clinical supervision. This is for my practice and during this supervision I do not share your personal details( full name,address)and to further protect your privacy, my supervisor will not know you personally or professionally. I will refer to you by your first name during this supervision process.
Emergencies
If your health is in danger and I have your consent, I may share your contact information with an emergency healthcare service. If I become aware of your intent to cause harm to another person/organisation(eg. Terrorism), the law may require that I share your personal information without your consent.
Erasing your information
When we have finished working together, I will erase electronic copies of your information and correspondence within 1 month. I will hold your written information for up to 5 years past the end of our working together. This is so I have a reference of our work together in situations such as you returning to counselling in the future. After this time has passed , I will shred the written information.
Your rights
You have the right to be informed what information I hold, to rectify any inaccurate or incomplete information. To request your information to be erased( though I can decline whilst the information is needed for my competent practice). To see the information that I hold about you and to withdraw consent to me using your personal information.
